Intimacy Aversion is (almost) the oldest story in the book. It is characterized by our resistance and fear of deep connected intimacy with ourselves, with God and with other people (including our spouse). Not to be too churchy, but since the fall of man intimacy aversion is part of life. Its is not a mental health disorder, it is a heart condition. It is one of the primary issues that underscores and facilitates sexual acting out.
